Michael Cook has been a proud member of Glaziers Union Local 27 since 1987. He has held his current leadership position as appointed Field Representative/Organizer with the Painters District Council 14, Glaziers Union Local 27 and International Union of Painters and Allied Trades since 2005. Mike was also elected to the Executive Board as a Glaziers Union Local 27 Trustee in 2002 which he held until 2008. He was then elected to the position of Financial Secretary in 2008 and is currently serving that role. His other official roles are Trustee to Glaziers Health-Welfare and Pension Fund and Trustee to the Glaziers Joint Apprenticeship Training Fund.

Mike is a Delegate to the North American and Chicago and Cook County Building Trades and Delegate to the Chicago Federation of Labor. He has also enrolled in various continuing educational seminars for the Health and Pension plans and has earned multiple certificates of achievement in Labor Management and Leadership Training.
